SCHOOL SAFETY DRILL
Preparedness is protection. On September 3, 2026, Pasong Tamo Elementary School conducted a School Safety Drill to strengthen the readiness of our learners, teachers, and personnel in responding appropriately to possible safety and security emergencies.
WHY DO WE CONDUCT SAFETY DRILLS?Safety drills help us:
Know what to do during an emergency Practice staying calm and following instructions Learn the proper safety procedures Familiarize ourselves with safe areas and evacuation routes Strengthen coordination between the school and our community partners Identify areas where we can further improve our safety measures Most importantly, protect lives and keep everyone safe. WHAT SHOULD WE DO DURING A SAFETY EMERGENCY? STAY CALMRemain alert and listen carefully to the instructions of your teacher, school personnel, or safety officers.
DROP, COVER, AND HIDEIf the situation requires it, drop down, cover yourself, and hide in a safe and secure location as instructed by the teacher or safety personnel.
FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONSDo not panic or act on your own. Follow the directions of your teacher and designated safety personnel.
EVACUATE WHEN INSTRUCTEDIf evacuation is necessary, proceed calmly and orderly through the designated evacuation route. Do not run, push, or go back for personal belongings.
STAY TOGETHER & ACCOUNT FOR EVERYONETeachers and personnel ensure that learners are accounted for and immediately report anyone who is missing or needs assistance.
WAIT FOR THE ALL-CLEAR Remain in the designated safe area and do not return to the building or classroom until authorized personnel announce that it is safe.
Remember: Knowing what to do before an emergency happens can make a big difference. Every drill is an opportunity to practice, improve, and prepare.
